Street Pharm is about a boy named Tyrone who is involved with selling drugs. He is described as being one of the best and biggest dealers in his town, until one day his mother finds out that he hasn't been attending school or work. His mother moves him from his High School to one with more security and restrictions, this school had security guards and even body scanners to make sure that nothing illegal is entering the school. this was done because his father was involved with drug dealing and was jailed for it and she did not want her son to be the same as his dad. Little did she know he was better then his dad, he continued his patterns of skipping school to make "sales". When he actually got through his first day of school he noticed a girl who couldn't keep her eyes off him, he felt that she was put in this school for the same reason he was. When they got to talking they were both quiet and didn't really tell each other the reason to why they were forced into the school.
Do you think that some schools or all schools should be like Tyrone's new school, having security guards and body scanners to keep it safe?

No. Everyone should have their own personal privacy. We go to school to learn. Yes we shouldn't be bringing drugs to school , whether were selling them or doing them. But schools , just school. They don't need to know every single detail about us. They should know us as students and that's it. If all kids are paranoid to go to school because they believe its unsafe then they should be going to another school or get home school.
ReplyDeletei don't think all schools should have this system because it is possible that there ARE good schools out there that have nothing to do with drugs or weapons or anything that that unless it is out of school. i think some principles take care of their schools well enough to teach them good from bad and what you should and shouldn't bring on school grounds.
ReplyDeleteI think that there is a certain time to do so, if there is no proof that anything like that is happening there is no use for it, but in the situation of Tyrone's school then yes
ReplyDeleteNot all schools should have security like that. Some school are different than the ones in Bradford. Some schools have drug problems, and also threats, so it would be appropriate to have at some schools.
ReplyDeleteI dont think that all schools should have this security system in it. Nobody would want to come to school. Unless you lived in area that was really bad in drugs and shootings, it might be a better idea.
